Good questions.

Everything about how Clipdocker works, what you get, and how credits are spent.

You paste a long YouTube video link. Clipdocker transcribes it, uses AI to find your most engaging moments, cuts them to 9:16 vertical, burns in animated captions, and gives you a batch of short clips ready to post to TikTok, Reels or YouTube Shorts.

1 credit = 1 minute of the source video you process. A 40-minute podcast costs 40 credits, regardless of how many clips you get back. There's no per-clip charge — minutes of source video are the only thing that costs.

Every account starts with 60 free credits, granted once at signup — that's about an hour of source video. No credit card is required to sign up or to use the free tier.

Three paid tiers, cancellable any time, each unlocking file uploads and longer project storage: Pro at £19.99/month — 500 credits (about 8 hours of source video), up to 20 clips per job, uploads to 1 GB / 1 hr, projects kept 2 days; Studio at £39.99/month — 1000 credits (about 17 hours), up to 30 clips per job, uploads to 5 GB / 5 hrs, projects kept 3 days; Max at £79.99/month — 2000 credits (about 33 hours), up to 30 clips per job, uploads to 10 GB / 10 hrs, projects kept 5 days. Switch to yearly billing to roughly halve the monthly price. Allowances renew each cycle and unused credits don't roll over.

Jobs are checked before they run, so you're never charged for a video you can't afford to process — it's declined up front with a clear message. You can upgrade to Pro or buy a top-up (10, 50 or 100 credits) to keep going.

YouTube links — podcasts, interviews, webinars, lectures, any long-form talking video.

Vertical 9:16 MP4s with word-by-word animated captions burned in. You choose the caption style, font and highlight colour, and whether to include emojis. AI AutoFrame can track the speaker's face and body, or keep the full frame with padding.

AI AutoFrame is our framing engine. It detects the faces and bodies in your video, locks onto whoever's speaking, and reframes widescreen footage to full-screen vertical 9:16 automatically — or keeps the full frame if you'd rather. You can fine-tune the framing on any clip in the editor.

Up to 10 clips per job on Free, 20 on Pro and 30 on Studio. The AI ranks them by viral potential so the strongest ones are first.

A few minutes for a typical video — it depends on length and the transcription accuracy you choose. You can watch live progress, and you can leave and come back without losing the job.

It depends on your plan: projects stay available for 24 hours on Free, 2 days on Pro, 3 days on Studio and 5 days on Max, then they're automatically deleted to keep storage lean. Download anything you want to keep before then — you can always re-run a video to get fresh clips.

Yes. After signing up you'll get a 6-digit code by email; enter it to unlock clipping. This keeps the platform free of throwaway and fake accounts.
