How ClipDocker handles your data, in plain language, and in line with UK and EU data protection law.

This Privacy Policy explains how ClipDocker ("ClipDocker", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our website and service at clipdocker.com. We are the data controller for that data.

We keep this to the minimum needed to run your account:
Where we rely on your consent for anything, you can withdraw it at any time.
Your videos and clips are used only to provide the service to you. We never sell your content, and we never use your videos, or the transcripts and clips created from them, to train AI models. Uploaded files and the clips we create are stored only temporarily and are deleted automatically on a short schedule.
You can choose to connect a YouTube channel or a TikTok account so ClipDocker can post clips for you. This is optional and only happens when you connect an account yourself.
YouTube. ClipDocker uses YouTube API Services to post your clips to YouTube. By connecting a channel you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. When you connect, we ask Google for two permissions:
What we store from YouTube: your channel name, channel ID and profile picture link, the sign-in tokens Google gives us, and the ID of each video we upload for you (so we can link to it from your Schedule page). Tokens are kept on our servers only and are never sent to your browser. We refresh your channel name, ID and picture from YouTube at least every 30 days and delete them if we can't. We keep the ID of each uploaded video for 29 days after it is posted, then delete it. We don't use YouTube data for advertising, we don't sell it, and we don't share it with anyone except the service providers that host ClipDocker. ClipDocker's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Disconnecting: you can disconnect a channel at any time in Account settings. That revokes our access at Google straight away and deletes the stored YouTube data for that channel, including the IDs of videos we uploaded to it. You can also remove ClipDocker's access from your Google account at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions; when you do, we delete the stored data for that channel within 30 days (normally within a day, at our next daily check). To ask us to delete it sooner, email [email protected] and we will do it within 7 days.
TikTok. When you connect TikTok we store your TikTok display name, username (@handle), profile picture and sign-in tokens. We use them to post or schedule the clips you choose, and the ClipDocker team can see which TikTok account (its display name and @username) is connected to your ClipDocker account, to help with support and to keep the service safe. Disconnecting revokes our access and deletes them.
Connecting YouTube or TikTok doesn't add any cookies or tracking to your device beyond the sign-in described in section 10.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the trusted service providers that help us run ClipDocker (for example for hosting, storage, payment processing and email) and only so they can perform those services on our behalf under data-protection terms. We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or where necessary to protect our rights and the security of the service.
Some of our providers are based outside the UK and European Economic Area. Where your data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or EU Standard Contractual Clauses) so that it stays protected.
We protect your data with measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access controls. No system is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to limit who can access it.
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask us to provide a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide it in a portable format; and where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it. Email [email protected] to make a request. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, or your local data protection authority in the EU.
We use only essential browser storage and cookies: to keep you signed in, and a random device identifier used solely for security and fraud prevention (for example, spotting many free accounts created from one browser). We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe's secure checkout pages may set their own cookies when you pay, governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
ClipDocker isn't intended for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data.
We may update this policy from time to time; we'll change the date above and make any significant changes clear on this page.
